August Newsletter - Me, Myself & I

Colette

This is my birthday month so a new year begins for me and resolutions that I will try to maintain although I am not going to make them too big so that they are achievable.

I hope you all had a good laugh last month with Peter's view on "Living with a Spook". I am fortunate to have a husband who can see the funny side of what I do and this really helps me not to take myself too seriously. It is so embarrassing for him when he is at a business dinner and clients ask, "And what does your wife do?" Fortunately he has a stock answer, "You really do not wish to know", which of course gets them even more intrigued. So no sympathy there from me, but it is amazing how many of his work colleagues I get as clients just through his brief conversation with them, so more power to his elbow, that's all I can say.

Well, what shall I discuss for the August newsletter?

With August being a holiday month in the west and going back to school here in the east I had decided to talk about me, my courses and what I am planning for this coming year if all goes to plan but I never know what upstairs has in store for me. Therefore I need to be flexible and "Winds of Change will be Embracing the Waters of Life" for this coming year. However with what is happening in the world at the moment I really think some comments need to be made.

Having delivered my 85 year old father back to the U.K. and watching the riots I began to wonder where the brains of these young youths are sitting. Having watched the wanton destruction of property and the loss of life it can make any sane person question why and make you feel very sad about humanity as a whole.

However, having said that, there is an up side to all of this chaos, doom and gloom. Communities are starting to band together in resistance against this thuggery and this is something we all need to consider because on one level we are all brothers and sisters. We have just had National Day here in Singapore, the 46th year of Independence from British rule and it was so moving that it made me very proud to be living in this community that is multi racial, multi religious, and harmonious.

When we have a sense of connectedness we can begin to feel happy and fulfilled within ourselves. We feel that we are having our needs met and the more we help each other in our communities the more we get this feeling of connectedness. This unfortunately is not happening in the U.K. at the moment with these young rioters. They may feel abandoned but it still does not give them the right to loot and destroy what is not theirs. If the water cannons where brought onto the streets with dye in the water and as these groups are sprayed then everyone would know who they were and what they had been doing and then maybe, just maybe, things could change and life with each other could be more harmonious. It has also shown double standards insofar that two youths received 4 year jail sentences for inciting rioting through Facebook, but what about all the radical Mullahs preaching in public who call for jihad and death to British soldiers? I don't honestly see the difference.

This might sound like utopian thinking but if we do not make some major changes then life as we know it will not be worth living. We are all connected like it or not and it is time that we all got along together. Now that I have said my peace this is what I am planning for the coming year and I hope that many of you will be joining me in my newsletters, courses and my writings, and I hope contributing to this newsletter, let me know what you are teaching or what you feel passionate about, togetherness is the name of the game.

I have already started writing a series of 5 mini books on my metaphor of the "Weeds in Your Garden". Each mini book will contain the fourteen colours that we all are and how we reflect these out into our own world through the way we tend our emotional, mental, spiritual and physical gardens. This mini series will be explaining how these colours affect your lives and the people within them. I am then hoping that this will lead you into the 12 month course to discover yourselves at a much deeper level. I also have my e-book "Love is the Key" on my web-sites (in colour) and now also available as an Amazon Kindle book. (b&w).

Aura - Soma

Then of course I have all my Aura-Soma Colour Courses. As many of you know I teach all the Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Aura-Soma Colour Training and this includes The Personal Presenters Course that I teach as well that needs to be taken after the Level 2 to be able to work with the public.

Spiral Journey

On top of all this I have my own Spiral Journey Course which is an accredited course from the Aura-Soma Academy and it is classified as part of the Academy Teaching rather than a spiritual course, or yoga or one of the other sub-headings that other accredited courses fall under. However I am going to run this course just based upon the Aura-Soma Tarot Cards and then this will allow others who do not wish to take the Aura-Soma Courses but wish to still be introduced to colour in a different way.

reiki

Reiki, Angelic Reiki, Colour Prana

Then of course I have my Ususi Reiki courses up to Master Level and Angelic Reiki as well as my Esoteric Colour Prana Course and that is without the art courses that I teach.

I then thought t it would be a good idea to see how we can live our lives and become more enriched in this climate of doom and gloom. Here are a few lessons we all need to consider within ourselves to be in balance in our daily lives.

Let's take a brief moment to reflect upon the lessons taught through examining the energy centers or Chakras of your body. It may result in your own Wind of Change blowing through your life! Change is the name of the game: Embrace Life!

Base Chakra

Take RESPONSIBILITY for the choices you make. Know that you cannot always control what happens in your life, but you can be in charge to how you respond to what is happening in your life. Remember you are what you think, feel and say. Inner mastery is when you can sow the seeds for real change in your life and within the world around you. Be in your red centre, be passionate, encourage and stay grounded

sacral chakra

Sacral Chakra

Have the CLARITY to see a new vision without fear. Know that whatever you tell another is your story and your view point not someone else's because in this way you can bring a new vision into your world. When you have clarity this brings abut inner peace that will transmit to peace in your world and your relationships.

LET GO, LET BE and RELAX so that you can embrace the emotions of change. Go with the flow and try not to struggle against the tide it is much easier to go with current. Fear is our greatest foe and with fear the ego becomes empowered and we lose our true identity of being the loving person with each other.

heart chakra

Always make sure you are PRESENT in the moment. Remember the saying that, "The past is a memory, the future is a surprise, today is the gift that is why we call it the present". Be in the now and you will be in the heart of what matters at that moment.

throat chakra

Throat Chakra

Always try to be the TOTALITY of who you are. It is the ability to say yes to life and to live from the heart rather than the mind. Remember words are like arrows or they are beautiful flowers be aware of what you say at all times.

3rd eye chakra

3rd Eye Chakra

Be in LOVE & GRATITUDE each day as this is the power to receive from others, and from above. We all love to give but sometimes it is difficult to receive. This is where power can be felt in a loving, caring, gentle way, allow others to give and receive with love and gratitude.

crown chakra

Crown Chakra

Be of SERVICE through love rather than through ego or self gratification. By being in service you come to know love from a deeper level and you begin to know the God/Goddess that you truly are!

This gives an understanding of how magnificent we all can be!

Empowering the Feminine Within

For me this is a really exciting course. I gave my first Goddess Archetypes Course just over a year ago now. I took 12 archetypes and 12 Goddesses and related them to colour and it was great fun. Since then Saira Salmon from Life Design has also put together her own Goddess and Archetype course called Your Inner Goddesses, which is awesome!

Knowing Saira very well we have decided to join forces here in Asia to see if we can hold a number of these courses when she comes to visit. I will co-teach with Saira who is an expert on the Goddesses and I will bring in the colour aspect in regard to the Goddess and archetype.

This course is new, really exciting and great fun.

goddess

It is all about finding your Goddess Archetypes and how they can empower or dis-empower you personally or with friends and colleagues if you are not aware of them. I will be sending out a Goddess Questionnaire and I hope you will fill it in and send it back to me so that Saira and I can improve our courses. Your feedback is extremely important to us. By completing the questionnaire this will give you an idea of your own Goddess archetypes and if you wish to find out more come and join Saira and myself on this course in November here in Singapore.

The Goddess Questionnaire please return to:

info@windsofchange.asia and saira@lifedesigns.org

Rate each statement and record on the score sheet according to the following scale:

-1= does not apply at all, 1 = applies a little, 2 = moderately applies, 3 = strongly applies

Remember, that some answers may not resonate at all (in which case they are a -1), others a little (a 1 or 2), and yet others very strongly (a 3!). There are no right or wrong answers, and we all tend to have a mix of different goddess energies in us, expressed differently at different times of our lives. Take time to carefully consider what each question is asking before you grade it.

Saira will be doing a teleseminar entitled: Goddesses A Guide to Archetypal Feminine Energies

on Thursday 15th September at 7.00 pm UK time.

Replay will be available for all those who sign up.

Find out more about the complex mix of emotions and needs that make up each of us, and the seven archetypal goddesses which embody them. Which are you? Rational, cool-headed Athena? Home-loving Hestia? Or maybe sensual Aphrodite? Each of the seven goddesses embodies distinctive patterns and behaviours and offers us a route to understanding ourselves better - the drives and motivations that shape us and how they affect our work, relationships, conflicts and dreams. Find out more in this fascinating teleseminar with Saira Salmon.

To reserve your spot, or have access to replay. please register with:

Saira and I are willing to travel almost anywhere so long as we have a reasonable number students. So for anyone interested in this course if you want to organize any of these courses please just liaise with me. I think you are getting the message that my passion is teaching and that the more knowledge I can impart to others the more I enjoy my work. I have realised over the years that the more knowledge you can impart the more rewarding life can be. I love what I do and do what I love.

Finally I would like to share with you a video which I was sent that is about Awakening as One to Each Other. It is an extraordinary video and examines the fears that confront us all as 2012 approaches.
